DIY Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him

diy valentines day him 2014So Valentine’s day is on Friday, I like DIYs but obviously it’s always a little trickier when it comes to DIYing for the fellas. So I always scour for some DIYs that are not on the sappy side but on the sweet yet tooootally manly side. Here’s what I discovered this year!

Personalized Pickles

Martha Stewart walks you thru creating pickled treats for your boo. Love the free printable labels and the options of personalizing. Do onions or olives depending on how your boo likes a martini or make some pickles for his favorite sandwich.

DIY Carved Candles

Absolutely brilliant from Henry Happened! Keep it sweet and simple, or write a fun saying, these personalized candles are mega mega easy and look so non-DIY.

Photo Playing Cards

From A Beautiful Mess, this is a great one! Pick photos from your favorite vacation, or take photos of his most favorite things and make a deck of cards just for him.

Etched Glasses

Why oh why I do not have etch cream in my arsenal of craft thing I do not know. These little mustaches from No. 2 Pencil are great, but you can truly make any old etch that is just between the 2 of you. Make it personal!

Monogrammed Painted Hammer

If you boo is a handy man or you’d like him to be more handy (winky), make him a personalized set of tools like this tutorial from Spoonful. You can put encouraging/funny/sweet words like “Nailing it!” on a hammer. Have fun and think of things that will make him smile as he works.

Hope you found something for your sweetie here! And check out last year’s roundup here!

The photo cards are great. I think that’s something my boyfriend would appreciate, although to be honest, I’ll just bake him brownies and call that his V-day gift. The way to his heart is through his stomach!
