What I Wore-Dinner at Stardust Diner

My aunt and cousin were in town from Florida last week and my mom being as gracious as she is took them to a Broadway show and some dinner. Mamacita also asked for me and broski to join them and this is what I wore.

(jacket-century 21; gray sweater-target; dress and boots-urban outfitters)

At the moment I’ve been so hesitant to put away my boots; the rain and the chilly weather in NY keeps me doubting the chills are over.

Bummer, because I LOVE the neckline on this dress.

I know it’s pretty simple but something about the thicker straps and the slight scoop do good things for me.

Also! I wanted to share my LOOOVE for this ring.

This ring has got to be one of my faves. I get asked about it all the time and every time it makes me laugh and smile. I really lucked out in buying it! I found it at a Shecky’s event 2 years ago for $1.00 on crazytown super sale.

Nail situation: I LOVE the look of white nail polish. It took me forever to find the perfect one for me but last summer my dream of white nail polish came true when I stumbled on “Skyline” by Prevail.

We took my lovely aunt and cousin to Ellen’s Stardust Diner. If you live in NY or have visited and saw a Broadway show you might have stopped by Stardust; it’s a pretty notable place in Times Square.

Ellen’s Stardust Diner is a 50’s inspired diner where the waitstaff sings and I mean SINGS! The staff is brimming with the talent of Broadway hopefuls.

In fact my mom, aunt, and cousin had just come from Sister Act and once the waiter saw the Playbill he lit up! One of the waitresses who had worked at Stardust for over 20 years had a huge part in Sister Act. It’s her big Broadway break at 50 and they are all so proud of her at Stardust. I mean CUTE! CUTE! CUTE!

So if you’re thinking Ellen’s Stardust Diner might be a cheese fest you wouldn’t be wrong, but I LOVE ME SOME CHEESY FUN and so does my mamacita. She sways and sings to the music every time we’re here.

Stardust is really one of mamacita’s favorite places to take out-of-towners and I won’t knock it! Especially since I’ve never had bad food or a bad time here. My recommendations from Stardust’s massive menu: fish and chips, the pulled pork sandwich, or the chicken pot pie. Mmmmm, yum! Go have some cheesy fun at this sweet, sweet place :).
