My Perfect Shade of Berry

Berried color lips is something that has been on my wish list since crisp autumn has come to New York and I’ve found my perfect touch of berry in a Moisturizing Lipstick in Berry Jam by a wonderful and unique cosmetic line radiant cosmetics. What makes radiant cosmetics unique is their company’s mission: “Our mission is the help garner awareness for human trafficking by raising funds through cosmetics, to provide resources for those on the forefront of change as well… View Post

Smile File-What’s Your Doggelganger?

I saw this site in New York Magazine’s Approval Matrix a couple weeks back and could NOT resist! Maybe the BEST marketing tool I’ve seen in a long while. The Pedigree Adoption Center in New Zealand created this fantastic site to raise awareness of the thousands of dogs that need a home. Super simple and fun site, promoting a fantastic cause. You can either upload a picture or take one, I just took one with my laptop. Then they do… View Post

Made by Voz-Empowering Women with Design

The efforts of people to make this world more beautiful never cease to amaze me. This is what brought me to Voz and The Chol Chol Foundation, who work as production partners to bring fair trade work to Mapuche artisan women in need. Jasmine Aarons was inspired to create Voz after traveling to study indigenous design for her graduate program at Stanford Product Design. Jasmine then went to Chile on a Haas post-graduate fellowship to offer women of the Mapuche courses… View Post

Store Highlight- Imani

I read about Imani on The Compassion Fashion Project. (click on any image to buy) The Zion Project is an organization that aims to heal and empower war-effected women and girls in Africa; Imani is their store. I completely fell in love with all the bright colors in so many of their necklaces.   These women are paid fair trade wages and many of the necklaces use recycled paper, sorted by color and then meticulously made into beads. So theses… View Post

She looked fantastic and totally lit up the whole place just by smiling. She had lots of awesome costume changes and choreography straight from her old videos. It was a big dance party at Radio City 😀 And this is what I wore: A little sassy… View Post

For Japan With Love

I am participating tomorrow in For Japan with Love. Utterly Engaged and Ever Ours have picked a wonderful charity called Shelterbox to benefit from this demonstration of bloggers. Shelterbox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. See Shelterbox’s efforts in Japan here. I know I posted resources on where to donate earlier this week, but I researched Shelterbox and think they are… View Post

Help Provide Relief for Japan

Thank you to Marissa from The Well-Appointed Catwalk for sharing these prints from The Poster Cause Project. I honestly had a whole other post drafted and written out for today but I really felt I could not go on without saying something and doing something for the tragedy that has struck Japan. In the Huffington Post’s article, “How to Help Japan,”  there is a great list of organizations where you can donate. The Huffington Post also includes a description of… View Post
