Guest Post: Etsy Wishlist

Hey there lovelies!! Rocquelle here from Consider Me Lovely!  When Jamillah emailed me about writing a guest post, I was beyond honored (as this is my first guest post ever) and geeked, and then puzzlement took over, as I had no idea what I would write about, within the stipulations provided to ensure that my post fit the ethical standards of Jamillah and made-to-travel.

Then I had a chat with her one evening, and we started talking about ethical fashion, which got me to thinking about the lady who hasn’t found an ethical fashion line that speaks to them or is simply clueless about the ethical fashion out there, like myself.

One of my favorite ways to be ethical and support sustainable fashion is through buying vintage!

While I am no expert at finding vintage pieces at thrift stores (my patience isn’t always that great), I do love finding vintage beauties on Etsy!

I love Etsy because I can enter what I am looking for and the options appear, as opposed to searching an entire rack of black clothing in hopes of finding black and white polka dot pants.

Plus, I can follow certain stores and favorite certain items so that I can keep an eye on them to make sure no one buys it before I do :-).

So if you’re anything like me and would like to be more conscious of the impact your shopping habit has on the planet, then check out some of my latest vintage obsessions from Etsy:

1980s Party Dress in Pink w/ Full Mini Skirt

Sheer Belted Floral Dress- Curly Top Vintage Shop

1970s black chiffon dress by Jack Bryan- Dear Golden

Vintage 80s Red Blue Sequin Disco Top- Twenty Six Vintage

Vintage Peplum Blouse 80s Navy Polka Dot Stripe Wrap Shirt- Catlady531 Vintage

Vintage Long Pink Skirt- HoneyComb Vintage

1990s Vintage Ecru Brush Mark Pencil Skirt- Decades

1990s Vintage Black and Sienna Slouchy Tunic Shirt- Decades

Vintage Silk Leopard Print Blouse- La Petite Marmoset Vintage

70’s Sheer Multi-Colored Sriped Midi Skirt- 11 Eggs

Because I’m a bit curvy, I tend to stay away from buying, or even looking at, pants online, hence the lack of them in this post, lol.

Nonetheless, the options of vintage (and handmade) goodness to be found on Etsy is limitless!

I am not necessarily a super trend follower, but if you are fashion often comes full circle so you can even find on trend items like printed denim and leather satchels on Etsy, while still supporting sustainable fashion!

Thanks Jamillah for letting me swamp your readers with some of my Etsy obsessions!

Have a wonderful trip, and soak up some extra sun for me :-).
