What I Wore-Pastels

Hi Friends…I have a confession. When I find something I like I kind of get obsessed with it. I guess it is true to say when I love something I love it alllllll the way.

This is what happened with my deep attraction to Catherine Ogust printed dresses. I stumbled on a Catherine Ogust dress on Etsy while perusing for neon and I put it in my favorites contemplated and then decided, “YES THIS HAS TO BE MINE” only to see poof it was gone! Heart crushing sadness and then a hunt! And then the find!!!

Right, it’s not the original neon Catherine Ogust that I had I hearted on Etsy, but I fell in love with the pastels and so I snagged it off ebay from Crush Vintage. This one was not getting away from me!

Even though these Catherine Ogust dresses are from the 80’s I found the prints really modern looking and I totally knew they would hit the right note for me.

I have never been one for pastels, they always struck me as too sweet. But because of the geometric Ogust pattern I fell in love with the fresh colored pastels.

I belted the dress because truthfully I have some alterations I want to do…namely taking up the hem. But I couldn’t help but wear it on Easter Sunday for my family’s big Easter bash. Now I think I might even like it better belted! Oh the possibilities….

Confession!!! I bought two Catherin Ogust dresses (ashamed face!), seriously I just loved the prints so much that I went and bought this guy from Etsy shop Quirk Vintage Clothing.

More confessions…I changed to flats on Easter because I knew that egg hunting in kitten heels was not going to be a good situation.

Girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do :).

Type in Catherine Ogust in Etsy or in ebay and you are bound to find loads of her fun patterns.

Very cute. I have never heard of her before but this makes me want to check her out.

Also, that silver-haired lady’s hair. Amazing.

Very pretty! I’m trying to find pastels that aren’t too sweet as well. I like the combo of modern blocked print and pastel colors.
