Shop for MORE-Free the Nations

I am soooooo excited to share with you the amazing Shop for MORE this week!!! You’ve actually had a little peek at their wonderful goods as I was obsessed with my latest purchase from them, but I would like you to formally meet.

Friends I’d like to introduce you to the gorgeous jewelry of free the nations.

I have no idea why I did not know of this beautiful shop and I was delighted when Sarah Hale founder of free the nations contacted me to peruse their site. Really I was instantly in love and was so happy to see some of my favorite fair trade companies listed as partners with free the nations, like fair trade and sustainable jewelry line 31 bits.

So naturally I went shopping :D. You actually saw my purchase already in my outfit flurry, but here is a closer look.

The necklace is called Paper Pearls it is a cream colored necklace made of recycled paper and supports women artisans in Uganda. I love that it’s the perfect vanilla color that is both summer and fall (and later spring!) for me and goes with everything. Inspiring bit of item info: Feeds the average Ugandan family for 4 days.

And friends it’s still available, clicky clicky :D.

$20

So I tell Sarah that I really want to purchase something because I am dying over everything but I’m having a hard time choosing because I’m not suppose to shop (I have shopping allotments per season…I am not good at keeping them) and she generously gifted me the other piece I coveted the most. DIES! LOVES! DIES!

I LOVE THEM! LOVE! I’m so happy I did not have to choose! Thank you again Sarah!

These lovelies are the Lacy Teardrop Earrings, they are made from sustainably harvested bone and brass and support artisan in India. To me they look completely special and are light as a feather (important for my former doorknocker wearing ears) AND still available :D.

$16

The fall collections rolled in this week and I’m about to pin them all onto my wish list.

My favorites are the Square Stud Earrings, the Honeycomb Necklace and the Floresta Earrings. How about you friends?!?!

I have to tell you wearing these items and knowing that I am a small part in making a difference in someone’s life really makes a difference in mine. I feel like I am shopping for more than myself…I mean I am obviously shopping for myself (lol) but as an added bonus I am also helping promote businesses, practices and causes I believe in.

The tag line for free the nations is: “Using fashion to free the nations from poverty, disease, slavery, and exploitation.”

It’s a true story friends, by making choices that are conscious you can do this too.

Stalk free the nations in every form possible. SHOP! BLOG! TWITTER! FACEBOOK! This way you’ll be able to hear about new collections, specials, and giveaways!

If you’d like to see my other ethical shopping posts head over to the top menu “Links!- Ethical Shopping!“.

Happy shopping for MORE friends!

Your pearls are so pretty!! I totally have forgotten about my pearl necklaces, and now I am super mad at myself for not wearing them all summer. Dang it. They are just so feminine and formal. 🙂
P.S. You are gorgeous, and I love this new blog layout of yours!

Secondly, I am so digging this new blog lay-out! Looks good, and seems easy to navigate, so congrats, and you are now an official (again) inspiration for me to get my butt over to wordpress!

I haven’t been over here (or blog visiting) lately so forgive my absence. Time is pushing my blog time to a very small corner. Meanwhile I send love and virtual love your way! xo. Bella Q
