A couple of weeks ago I received this text message from one of my nearest and dearest friends Jules.
“Hi! I’ve been making smoothies. How about I stop by your office later as you’re finishing up work and bring you a banana, peanut butter, choc, soy milk smoothie? Protein powder is optional.”
Bahahaha…how cute is she?!?! And how lucky am I to know her??! I had a short work day and was able to snap some pics of my outfit before meeting my darling friend and her smoothies :D.

I looooove this dress. It really is one of my favorite things to wear. I feel so cheery in it! The green is really fresh and the pattern I think is super lively…these things make me happy.
These “new” sandals from Buffalo Exchange have quickly become a go to pair. They absolutely match everything and you know I need a walking shoe! They have the teeniest wedge to add a little bit of height…they’re kind of perfect.
This friends is Jules sipping on her smoothie which by the way were mega super yummy!
She is color-blocking to the max! The pic is a little fuzzy but let me tell you her sunglasses are a mint green and she’s wearing a hot pink top paired with a purple skirt. I tell her how cute she looks and Jules says, “I was inspired by your blog!” Well, be still my heart :).
I put the star border because Jules is a very special lady. My dear Jules is kind without limits and incredibly thoughtful and I’m so thankful she is my friend. Jules also doesn’t just make smoothies, this lovely lady makes super duper cakes! Like this one!
She made this cake for the BF last summer. He’s a crazytown Mets fanatic! It not only looked amazing, it tasted ah-mazing! The cake was made in the BF’s fave flavor in life-mint chocolate.

I’m SO craving a smoothie now and it’s your fault! LOL Hehehe…What I love about your posts is that they always show how caring you are, about your friends, favorite bloggers etc. It’s something that few bloggers choose to share so openly and I applaud you for it! Oh and on a Fashion note, the color of the nail polish you’re wearing on your toes is lovely!!! 🙂
What a talented girl Jules is! I love baking but only for an hour or so at a time. I get frustrated and this cake looks so realistic, it must have taken her some time! What a wonderful friend you have!

This is the best!! She’s so cute, I love doing things for friends, especially unexpected things. I actually surprised my BFF at her job last year, told her I couldn’t make it bc i was swamped with work & just jetted in… A great weekend surprise. Jamillah your dress is amazing, I love this green colour on you, ( the fallling leaves are like a beautiful paisley print), and the sandals work so nicely together… Geez, I dearly miss Buffalo exchange!
