What I Wore-Birthday Week, Day 1

So friends tomorrow is my birthday and drum roll please….I will be 29!

Can I tell you I’m so stoked to be 29?! I feel pretty darn great and super lucky to live the life I live. I know I’m inching to 30 and I guess I should be freaking out, but I’m not. I’m really excited to turn 30 next year. I just feel like I’ve been in my 20’s for ages and they have been wonderful but I’m really really ready for a new decade!

In real life this Independence Day cake was a wedding cake, pretty rad so I can forgive it for not being my b’day cake.

Now I don’t ever really have a big birthday bash because I hate being the center of attention and I don’t like to make a fuss so I usually have a week booked with small dinners with family and different groups of friends.

Starting off my birthday week celebration are 2 of my besties (posted about them here). We had dinner at Bianca’s in the East Village and this is what I wore for 2 of my favorite ladies.

I kind of love this outfit. I got this skirt for $2.99 at Goodwill about 2 years ago :D.

I’m sorry friends I’m terrible at taking pictures in my real life. I am usually so in it that I completely forget to break out the camera and capture the moment.

The food is soooooooooo good at Bianca’s and completely reasonably priced for a decadent and really extraordinary meal.

I really do wish I snapped some pictures of our food, everything was incredibly delicious. I had the gnocchi, friend Winx had the lasagna (best lasagna I’ve ever had at a restaurant) and Cat had the mackerel.

Then we had some of this gorgeous dark chocolate mousse for dessert, I was able to find a pic on Yelp for you :

Friends, my mouth is watering just thinking of this dessert. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Today my wonderful BF took off work and we spent the whole day together. It was 80 degrees and sunny and just perfect. I really tried to be better at taking pictures but you will see how forgetful I am when I post my pics from today, lol. Tomorrow, my actual birthday will be spent with my family.

So sorry dears if this week I’m not so active on blogging, commenting, emailing and tweeting I am living my birthday life and it is booked solid this week and I apologize for being a little absent. Expect a lot of late commenting and emailing (shame face).

The BF is actually here and patiently (but not so patiently) waiting for me to finish this post so we can go back out on the town, so off I go. Will try to sneak a post in tomorrow. Hearts and hugs to you all.
