So this is my living room, friends: Everything minus the silver lamp in the lower left corner, the stereo and the area rug is thrifted or kindly donated by friends and family.

This couch/bed which has been the lovely place to rest for my friends and family from all over is being retired. I’ve had it for almost 6 years and it was with my Aunt before me for who knows how long….so it’s had a long life. Thank you couch/bed!
The 23rd street Huffman Koos was (and is I believe) having a moving out sale and I stopped in about 2 weeks ago since I knew my couch/bed was in bad shape.
I found a perfect couch: it fits my space and has storage (the cushions lift both on the seater and in the chaise) and turns into a bed (the back cushions fold down, my place is practically a part-timet bed & breakfast) but I was debating between these 2 colors:
My gut said orange(!) but my head said khaki. I took a deep breath and then picked orange I made the decision and walked away with a wary thought of, “did i just buy an orange couch?!”
Oh but I love you internet b/c I feel like you were reassuring me that I made the right choice b/c my reader started exploding with orange!
